Nancy Drew #32 Sea of Darkness Review

I have now finished the newest and latest Nancy Drew game!  I love this game, as much as I love the other games.  This game took me three days to play, one day I decided not to play.  I needed a thinking break.  In the paragraph below I have the description of the newest game.  I did not write the description about the game, this is from the Her Interactive website.

Set a Course for Danger and Discovery!

The celebrated ship “Heerlijkheid,” is usually the centerpiece of an Icelandic town’s local festival. Now that its captain has disappeared, the renovated vessel has become an eerie distraction. Did Captain Magnus sail away with a legendary treasure, or was he carried off into the night? Take the helm as detective Nancy Drew and set a course for the Sea of Darkness!

This game is now in my top 10 favorite games form Nancy Drew.  I loved the graphics in the game.  The water looked so real that I thought that I was really staring at the ocean.  The Northern Lights and the falling snow really made this game feel as if I was in Iceland, but in the comfort of your own home.

There were a few times in the game where I did cheat, but I swear it was only once!  I tried not to cheat, but I had to cheat, I could not figure out how to label the ship sails L.  The rest of the puzzles were fairly easy for me to figure out, with a few guesses in between on what to do.  The storyline in the game was very well written, all the characters had been intertwined together so it made it difficult to guess who the culprit was, I spent a whole 24-hours on whom the culprit could be.  I was able to guess the right person halfway through the game, but it took until one in the morning to finally decide on someone.  If you think I’m going to tell you what I guessed, then you are sadly mistake.  I do not want to be the one who ruins the game for everyone.

I have played the game only once so I can’t say this for sure, but I think the end can change.  Depending on the souvenir you buy (and wrap) and the choices you make in the game.  Once I confirm my suspicions I will let you all know.

Thank you for reading everyone.  I would also like to say thank you to the many people at Her Interactive who created this wonderful game and the many more to come.  I do however; I have one thing I would like Her Interactive to produce, and that is a Hardy Boys game series.  I hope this happens in the future!

I am working on the Real Myst game.  I had to buy a new copy because the copy I had was too old and stopped working past a certain point.  I should get the game done late today or tomorrow and have a post up about it tomorrow or the day after that.

Again thank you for reading,
